Elsie Mae is an emerging British artist that takes inspiration from her travels around the world. Growing up, she would often visit places such as Switzerland, Iceland and Colorado with her father. She would find herself lost in the magic of mountains and nature. Those landscapes still have an effect on her 20 years on and she is constantly taking in the shadows, reflections, the sun and the moon.

The core of Elsie's canvas paintings are layers and layers of texture. This texture then dictates the way that the mountains move. From this base layer, Elsie will then build her mountains. You will often find subtle metallics used to reflect the light from the sun or the moon.

Elsie tends to work on the smaller scale, but still wants to viewer to feel how mighty and magestic these mountains are.
